Have you ever felt totally overwhelmed because you were surrounded by clutter? When you work in a cluttered environment it crowds your thinking and easily distracts you. Not only that clutter wastes your time and your money.

John had an airconditioning business which he ran from his home office.
He found that whenever he didn’t keep his office tidy, his cash-flow would slow down.

When he did his invoicing to clients, he would lose money because he couldn’t include all the costs associated with each job. The paperwork would get buried under all the clutter.

Received an invite to attend the ‘Women in League’ pre ‘State of Origin’ event this week. And of course, I had plenty of business cards with me.

Also attended the game against Queensland and New South Wales.

Got to network with the C.E.O.of the Australian Rugby League, Geoff Carr. He looks more like a basketballer or runner, than a Rugby League player.

Also spent some time with Matt Cross and Geoff Lima, players from The Melbourne Storm. Tia (my daughter) attended as well and we took some great photos…check them out here.

What a time for the air conditioner in my car to stop working.

I made a startling discovery this week. ..my dogs can swim!

We’ve taken them to the beach many times but they would never go in the water. All it took was someone to say ‘why don’t you throw the tennis ball into the water?’.  I hadn’t done that before as I thought I’d be the one who had to retrieve it.  Well I was wrong!
Isn’t it silly that it takes a complete stranger to point out the obvious?

How often do you take for granted the valuable knowledge that you have?

I’m constantly amazed at how the simple things that I know and share with my clients, can be a massive revelation for them.

For instance, Denise has a public relations business. She’s well-known in her industry and receives regular phone calls from other consultants wanting to know how she became so successful.

Up until now she had been spending a lot of time, sharing her knowledge (for free) and receiving nothing in return.

Have you noticed how you feel when you’re around positive people? You feel uplifted, refreshed and energised. You learn that life is what you make it and that you make your own ‘luck’.

Consequently the opposite is true when you’re unfortunate to be with negative people. They drain your energy, are usually unhappy and seem to attract sickness and misfortune in their lives.

As an entrepreneur, you have to conserve your energy so that you’ve got plenty of it to keep you moving full steam ahead in your own business. The last thing you need is to have these negative influences affecting your own emotional well-being and causing doubt to creep in.
