How Poor Systems Lose You Business
I’ve recently added another member to my virtual team who handles the overflow of administrative tasks. It frees up my permanent Virtual Assistant Kathie to work on high priority work.
Anyhow, what I like about Charmaine is she is very prompt, responds to email quickly and gets the work done. She keeps me in the loop. Both my VAs are like that and it gives me great confidence and trust in them.
Both of these ladies are in their own business and understand that if you don’t provide a reliable service, they won’t getting my business.
Skyrocket Your Success – Work Harder on Yourself Than Anything Else
I recently presented a workshop to a group of small business owners, many of whom were working alone.
What always amazes me is how people can stay in business for many years, continually doing what they’ve always done… working hard, but having no life and in many instances, not much money! They are not happy, healthy or wealthy.
To top it off, many people had invested thousands of dollars in purchasing existing businesses that were barely providing a living, not a lifestyle.
I ask you, what’s the point? If you’re going to be in business, you want to make lots of money and enjoy regular time off.
How to Spend More Time With Your Family
A coaching call with a new client prompted me to write this week’s blog. Mary admitted with great sadness that it was her family that suffered the most from her being so consumed by her business.
When you make your family a priority, you will find the time to spend with them.
You really do need to get a grip on your priorities and take action.

Overcoming People Problems In Your Business
The no. 1 asset in any business is it’s people, yet when work with my clients generally that is their no.1 headache, apart from not having enough time and money!
Mary and Ken own a plumbing business employing 9 other people. They used to always complain about how irresponsible their ‘boys’ were. Not filling in the correct paperwork which caused many hours to be wasted by the two office girls and issues on-site due to basic carelessness.![]()

Focus On Your Strengths, Delegate Your Weaknesses
To gain more of what you want out of life you need to use your strengths and delegate your weaknesses.
One of my clients runs a mail-order business and prior to being coached by me he used to spend 90% of his time working in his business being involved in every aspect from the bookkeeping to fulfilling orders.
Â
His strengths lay in the development of his business and his people.
His time was being chewed up by activities he could pay other people to handle who would carry out these tasks in a fraction of the time he took.
