Networking for Women

I’ve just spent 2 days at the Melbourne event of “Essentially for Women” and discovered I’m actually 20 years younger! How?  One of the women, presenting showed statistics that in this day and age that 50 has now become the new 30.  It’s like the fashion spiel when ‘purple’ became the new ‘black’.  (The women reading this will know what I mean.)

So if anyone asks my age, instead of telling them I’m 51 (and proud of it), according to statistics I am officially 31 !  I like that.

Anyhow here’s me with Lyndsey Baigent, the Founder of Essentially for Women.  She was very inspiring and boy what a story she had to tell.

How to Avoid Costly Mistakes

Even when you’ve planned and double checked everything, sometimes things happen that are out of your control.

We had a big turn-out for my teleseminar on How to Unleash the Hidden Profit in Your Business” this week which also previewed my upcoming group telecoaching program “The Productivity and Profit Virtual Bootcamp”.

When I went to press the ‘record’ button on my phone… nothing happened!  My heart was racing and I had to think quickly.  I had over 70 expectant people on the line waiting to hear from me.

‘How to Get More Clients By Working Less’

One of my personal coaching clients ‘John’ told me that now he has created more free time he can now achieve much more than ever before.

Not only is he kicking goals in his business, his wife and children are now saying “why are you home so early?”.  They’re so used to years of him coming home at 8.00 p.m. at night, tired and cranky and find it really strange that he’s in the door most nights by 6.00 p.m. in a much happier state. That 2 hour time difference has made a huge impact on his relationships.

Like many small business owners, John’s time and energy was focussed on making more
money by attracting more clients.

As I mention in my
Productivity and Profit Home Study System  the best source of business is from the clients you already have.

Unfortunately most people are too busy chasing new business to look after people who have already spent money with them.
John recognised that 90% of his business came from a specific group of clients.

Productivity and Personal Development Equals More Profit For You

Have you noticed how you feel when you’re around positive people? You feel uplifted, refreshed and energised. You learn that life is what you make it and that you make your own ‘luck’. Consequently the opposite is true when you’re unfortunate to be with negative people. They drain your energy, are usually unhappy and seem to attract sickness and misfortune in their lives.

As an entrepreneur, you have to conserve your energy so that you’ve got plenty of it to keep you moving full steam ahead in your own business.  The last thing you need is to have these negative influences affecting your own emotional well-being and causing doubt to creep in.

Follow Up and Get More Business

How many people promise to get back to you with that quote, order, report or anything else for that matter and actually do it?

I’d say that most people do not deliver on their promises! Therefore they do not realise that the ‘trust’ element and their credibility goes down the drain.

If they lose your trust and credibility how would they treat other people? Would you refer business to them, feel confident that they can look after an important client or be responsible for finalising a special project?
