Social Networking to Boost Your Business

This week I attended an event where the guest speaker showed us how to use ‘Twitter’ to boost business.

Social Networking is exploding so make sure you don’t miss out.  You should at least have a presence on ‘Facebook’.

In fact, that’s where I connected with our special guest speaker for The Productivity Coaching Club this month.

However be careful not to let it suck up too much of your time because you could easily become addicted and neglect other income generating activity.

Have a great week

6 Steps to Productive and Profitable Networking

Observing many people when I’m out and about attending various business related functions, I’m convinced that so many of them do not realize how powerful it is to make the effort to meet others and network.

Networking is great for business … if you do it right and have a system in place to follow up.

Follow these 6 simple steps and you’ll find that you’re networking experiences will be much more productive and profitable.

Step No. 1
The successful networker always carries their business cards with them. They have stacks of cards in their diary, purse, wallet, all bags… briefcases, laptop, handbag, car and office.

Networking Events

It’s been a hectic week.  Just returned from the Essentially for Women event in Sydney and also had my first visit to Hobart to speak for Women’s Network Australia.  Unusual for me to travel interstate twice in a week.  It’s not something I’d want to do on a regular basis.

I enjoyed Hobart as it reminded me of my original home town…Auckland.  Still made sure I took care of myself…got plenty of exercise, healthy food and had a one and a half hour massage.  It’s so important to take care of yourself first.

Networking for Women

I’ve just spent 2 days at the Melbourne event of “Essentially for Women” and discovered I’m actually 20 years younger! How?  One of the women, presenting showed statistics that in this day and age that 50 has now become the new 30.  It’s like the fashion spiel when ‘purple’ became the new ‘black’.  (The women reading this will know what I mean.)

So if anyone asks my age, instead of telling them I’m 51 (and proud of it), according to statistics I am officially 31 !  I like that.

Anyhow here’s me with Lyndsey Baigent, the Founder of Essentially for Women.  She was very inspiring and boy what a story she had to tell.
