How to Waste Time and Lose Money Networking
Networking is a very important marketing component for most businesses, yet so many people just don’t seem to understand that to make it work there is a crucial step that must be done right…the follow-up.
At a recent event I attended I went up to the presenter afterwards and said that I was very interested in what they were offering and could they call me the following day.The presenter replied ” Absolutely. We’ll be in touch tomorrow”. Three weeks later and nothing has happened! What a waste of an opportunity. I won’t be investing any money with this company.
Mega Networking & Referral Event
It’s been a big week. Spent most of the weekend at the MegaNetworking and Referral event.

It was well worth attending, not just because I was speaking but the variety of presentations and networking activities were extremely beneficial for everyone.
Again I had the pleasure of listening to Justin Herald. That’s twice in the past few weeks! He tells it like it is…no b.s.
That’s me with Justin. It must have been one of the worst photos I’ve had taken, but you gotta make the most of the opportunities. I caught him before he rushed off to catch a plane so there was no time for a second shot.
9 Ways to Make Your Meetings Productive and Profitable
Some time ago I facilitated a VIP Planning Day for a small accounting practice. During the course of the day we reviewed the progress they had made since Planning Day we had the year before.
As we were reflecting on their achievements before planning the future, one of the partners made the comment on how crucial their weekly meetings were.
Originally when I first suggested they have regular weekly meetings, the same partner thought it was a waste of time as he was focused on how much time it cost to have everyone stop work for that hour.
How to Avoid Costly Mistakes
Even when you’ve planned and double checked everything, sometimes things happen that are out of your control.
We had a big turn-out for my teleseminar on “How to Unleash the Hidden Profit in Your Business” this week which also previewed my upcoming group telecoaching program “The Productivity and Profit Virtual Bootcamp”.
When I went to press the ‘record’ button on my phone… nothing happened! My heart was racing and I had to think quickly. I had over 70 expectant people on the line waiting to hear from me.
