Take the Initiative. Follow Up and Get Things Done

When you’re waiting on a response from a message you’ve left with someone whether it was by phone or email, make sure you diarise to follow up, just in case they don’t get back to you.

An interior designer I’ve contracted to work on my new property has been waiting on specifications from the builder’s office.

When I spoke with her today, she still hadn’t received the information required and hadn’t done anything to follow up.

I made contact with the builder and found out they hadn’t received the designer’s email!

So there you go, while everyone sits around waiting, nothing gets done. Happens in business all the time!

On the 20th September (yes, next Wednesday) I will be launching the next best thing to having a personal productivity coach…The Productivity Coaching Club.

Every month you’ll receive:

  • Free teleseminar with myself and hand- picked industry experts jam- packed with the latest tips to skyrocket your productivity and your success in your business and your life.

How You Can Focus and Achieve What You Really Want

With Spring nearly here, it’s a great time to reflect how far you’ve progressed so far this year.

What goals or milestones have you achieved for yourself? What seeds have you sown that are now ready for you to reap the benefits? Are you forging ahead in your business and your life and taking time to enjoy the fruits of your labour? Or are you still stuck in a rut?

I have two important stories I would like to share with you… one is personal and the other is about one of my clients.

How Flexible Are You?

In a recent coaching session one of my clients realised that he had spent his whole life being ‘flexible’. Flexible to him meant being unstructured. It meant whatever happened, happened.
Of course this was why he was so stressed out. No plan on where he was going or what he was doing. His work days became longer and longer and there was no division between his work life and personal life. In fact he didn’t have a personal life and found relationships outside of work difficult to maintain.
Through our coaching process he recognised what he was doing and now is making changes so he can take responsiblity and bring order and structure into his life.
Avoid being too flexible or you will find life will take control of you.
