Are You Losing Business Because You’re Disorganised?
A friend was looking to finance a new home and asked me who did I know who could help her.
As she was a first time homebuyer and needed lots of hand-holding I thought the best person I knew would be a lady I had met who specialised in this market and was very caring.
This person had really impressed me originally about how different her business was from others and how personable and caring they were with their clients. Seemed a good match.
She also said they really looked after their clients and all their business was referral. People would often return to them for future loans.
All well and good except my friend waited 6 weeks from the first initial contact to finally sign off on the paperwork to apply for the loan. Normally this process takes 1 - 2 weeks. The mortgage broker was disorganised and that was the feedback I received from my friend.
Bottomline is I wouldn’t refer any business to that broker and neither will my friend.
It’s not good enough to talk the talk, you have to back it up with good service.
