Are You Responding Quickly Enough To Get the Business?

I don’t know about you, but I get annoyed  when I constantly have to phone or email the same person because they don’t respond to my messages, especially if it’s for products or services that I’m interested in. The impression I form of them can include any or all of the following:

… they’re disorganised

… don’t care

… avoiding me

… not trustworthy (can I believe what they say?)

… too busy to be interested in what I may want (even if it is to spend money with them). There are often other reasons but these are the key ones that come up for me.

Make it a habit to return your calls and emails within 24 hours. By planning your day and allocating time for following up you’ll improve your business. If you’re

On the phone

unavailable, make sure someone else in your office can be or leave a recorded message on your phone or autoresponder on your email stating when you’ll be available.

Just remember, people aren’t going to hang around waiting.  They’ll take their business elsewhere.

You may be so snowed under and overwhelmed running your business that you don’t even realise that you could be turning clients away. In fact you probably don’t even know exactly what you need to do to improving your personal efficiency.
